CHENNAI: BJP state president L Ganesan on Tuesday urged the Centre to
insist the Malaysian Government to address the grievances of ethnic
Indians without any further delay.

Speaking to reporters here, Ganesan said withdrawal of cases filed
against ethnic Indian protestors by the Malaysian Government was a
welcome measure, but that was not enough. The Centre should ensure
that they were not discriminated in anyway by the Malaysian
Government, he said.

Replying to a query on the DMK youth wing conference in Tirunelveli,
the BJP leader questioned the necessity to organise the conference in
an extravagant manner.

Referring to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's call to his party cadres
to take out a campaign on Sethusamudram project, Ganesan said the BJP
would take it as a challenge and organise counter-campaign on its
demand not to destroy 'Ramar Palam'.

Criticising the State Government for increasing power supply crisis,
he said the BJP would organise state-wide demonstration on the issue
on Wednesday.
